Holes

Holes Junior is a stage play adaptation of Louis Sachar’s novel “Holes” (1998). The play is suitable for younger audiences and families, as it retains the essence of the original story while incorporating elements of drama and storytelling. The play follows the journey of Stanley Yelnats IV, a middle school student who is wrongly accused of theft and sent to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile corrections facility in a desert. At the camp, Stanley and his fellow inmates are forced to dig holes as a form of punishment and character-building exercise. As Stanley digs, he uncovers secrets and mysteries surrounding the camp’s past and his own family’s curse.
